All 10,000 MADANI tickets sold

Malaysia’s Ministry of Youth and Sports has confirmed that all 10,000 RM200 MADANI tickets allocated for the 2026 Malaysian Formula One Grand Prix have been sold. The event is scheduled for 2–4 October at Sepang International Circuit, and the rapid take-up underlines the interest surrounding Formula One’s return to Malaysia.

Minister Mohammed Taufiq Johari said the ministry is discussing the next steps with Sepang International Circuit and the event organiser. The immediate challenge is to give more fans a chance to attend without compromising safety, transport planning or venue operations.

Extra viewing areas under consideration

Officials are assessing whether additional viewing areas can be opened. Capacity, locations, prices and an on-sale date have not yet been confirmed. Supporters should rely on announcements from KBS, Sepang International Circuit and the official event channels rather than unverified resale pages.

Expanding spectator areas involves more than releasing extra tickets. Entry routes, weather protection, emergency access, public transport and on-site services all need to be assessed. Any number circulating before the technical and safety review is complete should therefore be treated as provisional.

Three-day event and attendance outlook

The 2026 Gulf Air Malaysian Grand Prix will run across three days, with track activity expected to include practice, qualifying and the race. KBS estimates that total weekend attendance could exceed 110,000, increasing demand for transport and accommodation around Sepang.

Ticket holders can prepare by checking official updates on parking, shuttle services, entry rules and prohibited items. Fans without tickets should wait for a formal capacity announcement and should not treat screenshots shared on social media as valid proof of sale.

Volunteer intake also planned

KBS also plans to recruit 500 volunteers for Formula One and another 500 for MotoGP through the MyProfil platform. Roles, eligibility, training and application dates remain subject to the official notice.
