Melaka complete a home comeback

Melaka FC hosted Negeri Sembilan FC at Hang Jebat Stadium on 30 August in the Malaysia Super League's Naning derby. The visitors scored first, but Melaka recovered to win 2-1 in front of more than 3,000 spectators.

Negeri Sembilan strike first before Agbre equalises

Negeri Sembilan opened the scoring in the 19th minute when Yusuke Minagawa converted a pass from Mio Tsuneyasu.

Melaka responded in the 33rd minute. Do Donghyun delivered a corner and Noel Agbre headed home to make it 1-1 before half-time.

A red card changes the second half

The key turning point arrived in the 53rd minute when Negeri Sembilan's Ahmad Khuzaimi Piee received a second yellow card and was sent off.

Despite playing with ten men, Negeri Sembilan continued to threaten on the counter. Melaka goalkeeper Khairul Fahmi Che Mat made several important saves, allowing the hosts to keep pushing for a winner.

Christian delivers the injury-time winner

The match remained level until the fourth minute of added time. Christian de Souza Andre converted Kpah Sherman's pass to secure a 2-1 victory for Melaka.

The result carried a complete comeback narrative: an early setback, a first-half equaliser, a numerical advantage and a decisive late goal. For Negeri Sembilan, the frustration came from defending the draw for much of the second half before conceding at the last moment.
